Open House has been an all-day event that draws earth science enthusiasts of all ages to our beautiful Palisades, New York, campus for more than 50 years. This diverse audience includes families, school children, scout groups, undergraduate and graduate students, and adults, each with a passion to learn more about our planet. Activities encompass the breadth of the Observatory’s research initiatives. Young and old, everyone leaves Open House inspired by new knowledge and a better understanding of how the earth works.
