Ocean & Climate Physics (OCP)
The Ocean & Climate Physics (OCP) division works to understand Earth’s climate system and its natural and human-induced changes. OCP scientists delve into the mysteries of Earth's climate in order to document its change and to build an understanding of its controlling forces. We study societally-relevant phenomena such as El Niño, drought, hurricanes, and other aspects of the atmospheric and oceanic circulation through field campaigns, data analysis, and modeling.
