GEOTRACES is an international program dedicated to identifying the processes that control the distributions of trace metals and other chemical constituents in the ocean, and discerning how sensitive these distributions are to environmental change. Our exhibit includes an experiment on the bioavailability of different types of iron to plankton, a demonstration of the different classifications of elements in the oceans, and 3-D visualizations of different trace elements in the Atlantic Ocean.
